Session one: Sheetmetal with SolidWorks
Rip, Tear, Bend, and Fold - Designing Sheet Metal Parts in SolidWorks
This hands-on session will guide attendees through a comprehensive look at the sheet-metal tools in SolidWorks, and the downstream application of these tools and other methods for the manufacture of sheet-metal parts. The focus is on how each sheet-metal function relates to the eventual manufacture of these parts.

About Richard Doyle
Richard Doyle is User Community Coordinator for SolidWorks, responsible for helping SolidWorks user groups grow and thrive. A SolidWorks user since 1997, Richard has 27 years of experience in the field of mechanical drafting and design, including 20 years working with CAD. As one of the founding members of the SolidWorks User Group Network (SWUGN) committee and former Director of the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group (CTSUG), Richard has spent a good deal of his time helping to keep SolidWorks users informed, educated, and enjoying the benefits of working with 3D CAD.
About Matt Cummins, Director of Design Technologies, B&N Industries
About Matthew Cummins
Matthew Cummins is Director of Design Technology at B&N Industries in Burlingame, CA. For several years, he has been implementing Solidworks based solutions to create efficiencies in both manufacturing and design environments. At B&N he has been developing systems that allow designers to quickly and accurately “snap together” assemblies of catalog parts. He is often heard saying “Do work once and use it many times!” Matthew has a degree in Materials Science Engineering from Stanford University.
