Scholarships for Veterans

Filed under: Computer Aided Design — Administrator @ 7:02 pm
For the last 8 years Foothill-De Anza Foundation's Scholarships for Veterans has awarded 1-2 scholarships per year.
Scholarships for Veterans is a not-for-profit, non-partisan, non-political organization dedicated to making scholarships available to recent veterans. Our purpose is to promote and encourage veterans, who might not be able to afford an education, to return to college through this scholarship program. In order to assist more future veterans, we must ask for continued financial support.
One hundred percent (100%) of all donations go directly into the Scholarship for Veterans fund there are no administrative fees taken. Donations are tax deductible and you will receive a tax statement directly from the Foothill-De Anza Community College District Foundation.
You may either donate through our automated online service at https://secure.entango.com/donate/fhda (or simply mail the donation slip to us at the bottom of this page)
We are serious about providing financial support for our veterans interested in attending Foothill or De Anza College and hope you are serious in assisting us. We have been able to award scholarships between $1,000 each of the past seven years. Please help us support more veterans to get a college education.
For more information and to see past success stories from previous recipients, please go to https://cad-resources.com/SFV.html. On behalf of the Committee for Scholarships for Veterans and Project Veterans (www.foothill.edu/vet), thank you for your generosity and support in making our goals a success. Should you have any questions, please call us at (408) 559-0598 or (650) 949-6955.
Sincerely,

The Committee for Scholarships for Veterans

Contract CAD Designer

Req. ID: 5973
Office Location: US-CA-Fremont-Office-Service
# of openings: 1
Job Shift:
Job Type: Contract

Description

TESLA MOTORS
Tesla Motors is breaking the mold and paving the path to change the way the world looks not only at alternative energy vehicles, but also at the paradigm of human transportation. Our zero tailpipe emission products do not compromise on performance, luxury, nor utility. Neither do we compromise on the people that make our products happen.
Tesla Motors is committed to hiring and developing the top engineers in any given discipline. Our world-class engineering teams operate with a non-conventional automotive product development philosophy of high inter-disciplinary collaboration, flat organizational structure and technical contribution at all levels. You will be expected to challenge and be challenged, to create, to innovate. These jobs are not for everyone.
  • You must have a genuine passion for engineering electric vehicles. Without passion, you would find what we're trying to do too difficult. There are much easier jobs.
  • You must want to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company.
  • We are building real products -- not presentations. This must excite you. You must be a builder.
We offer a competitive salary, meaningful stock ownership, health benefits, a fun work environment and the chance to make a real contributory impact on the world.

  • Complete and release system, sub-system and detail designs
  • Deliver world-class craftsmanship and fit/finish
  • Insure product conforms to all market regulations governing assigned systems
  • Release parts for production in the PLM system
  • Interface with suppliers for manufacturing feasibility, validation, and other engineering activities as specified for the assigned commodity. Note that in most cases, Tesla Vehicle Engineering will design commodities for the Model S in-house.
  • Deliver designs and other program deliverables on time and within budget
  • Insure designs are compatible with the assembly process and are serviceable
  • Create (with component/system supplier) component and subsystem design verification plans and test methods
  • Complete component and system validation as required, insuring system targets are met and optimized
